Desperate Housewives (2008)

Susan and Jackson are waiting for Julie, Susan’s daughter to arrive with her new boyfriend. They are looking out of the window and, when Susan realizes how much older Julie’s boyfriend is, she’s not really pleased. When Julie comes in and introduces her boyfriend to her mother, Jackson is so kind to take upstairs their luggage.

That night, the band that Dave has created with Mike, Orson and Carlos, is scheduled to play at the “White Horse” bar so everyone is there for the performance. Susan and Jackson are sitting in a booth at the bar and Susan is telling him she’s not thrilled that Julie’s boyfriend wants to propose to her daughter. Jackson tells her to leave it alone and to let Julie decide for herself but Susan can’t stay out of it and goes to interrupt while Julie and her boyfriend are dancing. Jackson tries to take her away but she reveals to Julie that her boyfriend wants to marry her, and a shocked Julie tells her soon to be ex boyfriend that she doesn’t want to get married, not now and maybe not ever.

Later, outside of the bar, Julie tells her mom that she doesn’t believe in love because her mom’s love life never was a happy one, but Susan tells her she now has Jackson so there’s always hope of being happy and Julie doesn’t have to lose faith in love.

When the two women get back inside, they meet Jackson who tells them that he has to go to the bathroom for a moment. A waiter tells Jackson to use the employees’ bathroom because the other one is too crowded. Jackson goes there and sees Dave coming out of the door in front of the bathroom. Dave has just killed a man – a doctor who was about to reveal his past to everyone – and has also set fire to the room where the corpse is, so when he sees Jackson he believes him to be a threat and locks him inside the bathroom.

The firs spreads and everyone panics and tries to escape. Jackson is locked inside the bathroom so Mike comes back in the bar to help him out but doesn’t find him… Jackson has broken a window and escaped on his own. Mike is now trapped inside but Dave rescues him and becomes the hero of the night. Susan is relieved to see that Jackson is okay, and the two of them hug each other tight.
