Thomas: Gale is a truly brilliant man, sometimes in a staggering and head turning way. I am stunned by his versatility and fearlessness when it comes to character choices and 100% commitment to performance. I don’t think we’ve shared a single conversation that was not about art, mainly based on music and theatre, two areas in which his education is mind blowing. I’ve learned a lot from his beguiling and somewhat confusing dissertation/conversations. Thus I am proud to call him a friend and tutor."

"I had the opportunity today to go to The CW Network where I watched the fall finale of The Secret Circle, entitled "Balcoin," and then sat down with executive producer Andrew Miller and actor Gale Harold (Charles) to discuss what we can expect when the show returns in early 2012.
The episode ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, but also answered a few of our questions (as well as left us asking a whole lot more!). My lips are sealed about the bombshell that was dropped at the very end, but I won't be silenced for long -- you can see the episode in full Thursday, November 10 at 9pm on The CW.

"During an interview to promote the mid-season finale on November 10th (the show will return on January 5, 2012), Gale Harold talked about the appeal of this role, the appearance of Charles’ mother on the show (played by Stepfanie Kramer), the continued power-play between Charles and Dawn (Natasha Henstridge), and how his character would like to be in charge of his own actions and decisions. "In many cases, the parents are even more interesting then the adolescents on this show, and once again, Dawn and Charles are some of the best things about the hour. Normally Dawn’s the one in charge, the one with the plan. ... But in a panic over Faye, possibly finding her grandfather;s dead body, it is Charles who is in charge this time. It was a great turn around from the last couple of episodes, as once again Gale Harold shines as Charles as the actor perfectly balances the line between sinister and well likable. But, we know his plan to manipulate Jane’s mind is sure to backfire at some point."

"Can we take a moment to fawn over Gale Harold’s performance on this season of The Secret Circle? Because while I was already pumped about tomorrow’s episode, this clip of Charles and Dawn just sent me over the fan-edge with excitement — in no small part due to Harold’s eerie performance.
In the exclusive clip below, it’s clear that Charles, who hasn’t been the same since Nick’s death, is growing darker by the day. As a result, you can’t blame Dawn for being a little wary about letting him hold on to the all-powerful (not to mention dangerous!) crystal. Stuff’s about to go down!"

The CW has now confirmed that the return date for The Secret Circle will be January 5th, 2012:
"The CW’s Thursday dramas return first from the holiday break shortly after the New Year, Thursday, January 5, with THE Vampire Diaries (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET), followed by The Secret Circle (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)."

Hi everyone! "The Secret Circle" will go on hiatus from November 10th, 2011 until next year. The usual Christmas hiatus for The CW, in other words.
This should hopefully be the schedule for future episodes (although it has not yet been confirmed by The CW that the return date will be January 5th, but that is the date that The Vampire Diaries is due to return, according to Julie Plec):
The Secret Circle (airs Thursday at 9,00 p.m.):
Episode 8 (Beneath): Thursday, November 3rd 2011.
Episode 9 (Balcoin) : Thursday, November 10th 2011.
Episode 10 (TBA): Thursday, January 5th 2012.
