The CW officially picked up "The Secret Circle" for its upcoming season!
"The Secret Circle" comes from "The Vampire Diaries" executive producer Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller. Based on a book series from "TVD" author L.J. Smith, the series centers on a young girl ("LUX's" Britt Robertson) who discovers she is part of a coven of witches after moving to a new town. Guess what? She's also the key to unlocking a centuries-old battle of good vs.evil. Normal teenager problems. Also starring in the series are Thomas Dekker, Phoebe Tonkin, Shelley Hennig and Gale Harold.

The latest update from Deadline.com says that yesterday's screening of the TSC pilot went very well:
